Review - Harry Potter And The Prisoner of Azkaban

The best thing I liked about their project is how the Augmented models do justice with the book. It tells you kind of a summary of the elements of the book without spoiling the story. The models are perfectly designed for the AR (not too many polygons neither too low, hence perfectly detailed for an AR app). Normally what I have noticed in other projects was that
either the 3d models had too many vertices or too low vertices in their models but in this project had the best quality/quantity ratio in my opinion.

2. Smooth transition to reviews and video review:-

Unlike most of the projects where students were having trouble pressing the AR buttons, their buttons were easy to press and were transitioning to reviews very smoothly. Also, buttons were well placed and were easy to press without other buttons getting in between. This also shows their skills in designing and organization of the project. So, I can say that these guys had good project management skills.

3. Well-chosen 3D models:-

All the 3D models were well chosen and were very suited for the cover of the books. We can see the models of serious black, Lord Voldemort, the model of the playfield and the school itself. In my opinion, no combination of other models has portrayed the Hogwarts better than these.

4. Nostalgic music.- The music is so well placed that it reminds you of your childhood memories. Plus this project has more amount of audio tracks than any other class project I have tried so far. The music remind you of the childhood memories of the Harry Potter movies. As they were a huge part of my childhood I really loved the main theme at the front cover.

5. Detailed Scenery:- The Augmented models really capture Hogwarts clearly and portray what I call "the idea" of Hogwarts. You can see all the major things about the story of the book.
We can see serious black, Voldemort the two major components of the story.

6. Review Placement:-

Reviews were very well placed and were expressive, the video reviews were good too as they have very good audio and video quality without any noise in them. They also matched the whole requirements of reviews being rated and dated with the names.

7. Sound -

The sound is very clear both in the introduction and in reviews and I had no difficulty understanding what's being said in any of them. It's also a very good feature that all sounds stop when you switch between the covers.

8. Smoothness:-

The smoothness of application is another good thing as 3d models are not heavy so they do not put a lot of calculations on the device to handle.

9. The Website:-

Their website contains all the required elements for the project (assets info, GitHub link, intro + description)  and also has a very good color theme.

Overall Rating:- I will give their project 9/10. It covers every objective that was asked for the project and covers it gracefully. I liked how the nimbus was modeled and cleverly placed on the playground. I liked how the harry's wand comes to the screen and tells us about the book. The detail of lights flickering while dementors are flying through them is both clever and well thought. The particle effect of Voldemort's wand gives us the perfect scenery of the magical world that is being portrayed.
