Project 3

Mystery of Murder of Warden Sia

Introduction

MoMoWS is a detective game where you search for clues (found in letters written by people and their profiles provided to you by your police department).

Things that were Challenging -

1. Making profiles of different people:-

Writing seven profiles so that some part of their life or their nature seem suspicious was very difficult.

I have written about their history, their education and their introduction so that every profile arise suspicion. to the user.

2. The letters:-

Every letter have different page style

Every letter has different handwriting and ink, thus giving the player a feeling of realism

Every letter gives multiple clues to the player. These clues could be used later at the detective's lab/cave to slove the mystery.

Clues in Lab:-

These clues can be put on the board to solve the mystery, you have to put at least five clues in order to solve the case after which a video plays showing the plan of the murderer.

Dialogues:- Each character has dialogues so you can interact with them using the joystick.

Animation:- Each character has a different animation for different dialogues (each one has at least 2 animations) which makes interacting with them interesting.

No Ambient sound:- The game has no ambient sound because I wanted it to seem as realistic as possible. I tried some suspenseful music, the sound of storm and wind but they did not seem like an experience that I wanted to give the player.

Things you can do

1. Interact with every character.

2. See every character's profile (Even the dead ones).

3. Dialog with them. Ask for their fingerprints.

4. Read the letters written by them.

5. Test the bottle and book in a microscope.

6. Put clues on board

7. Try combination of clues to know about the murderer.
